Painted during an intense hard-edged abstract geometric phase of Charles's art following moving back to Australia from living in Bangkok for the previous 4-5 years. Completed as part of the La Piadina mural project - a final outcome of the exhibition and the experience he created - his second mural in Bondi Beach, his new home :-).

This is his first series using Augmented Reality which started in 2017 as a means to continue painting once the paint has dried, there are still many more dimensions to explore - if you can see beyond or perhaps simply all at once.

Influenced by early artworks by his friend Oliver Marsden, but playing with the texture and fragility of the paint whilst entombed within the fixed dimensions of the cubes...featured at the Virtual unReality exhibition in Paddington, Sydney and by Apple worldwide as a print showcasing artistic uses of Augmented Reality.
